The advantages and disadvantages of using aluminum alloy, cast iron and stamping parts in automobile chassis suspension system

The suspension part of the car is made of aluminum alloy, cast iron and stamping parts. Each has its pros and cons.
1. Advantages of aluminum alloy: small weight (conducive to reducing the unsprung mass, reducing the unsprung mass can improve the control performance), high strength, no deformation, high precision. Disadvantages: high cost, encounter strong external force impact will fracture.
2, casting advantages: low cost, high strength, high precision, no deformation. Disadvantages: heavy weight (unfavorable to overcontrol), encounter strong external force impact will break.
3, the advantages of stamping parts: small weight, moderate strength, low cost, encounter strong external force impact is not easy to break. Disadvantages: Average accuracy.
From the above three points, we can understand that if the cost is not considered, aluminum alloy is a good choice, of course, there are shortcomings (encounter strong external force impact will fracture), so the selection of aluminum alloy and quality control should be very strict, so that the cost will be very high, compared with castings and stamping parts to be several times higher.
The casting cost is lower but the weight is too large, and there is also the risk of fracture. The cost of stamping parts is low, the quality is more moderate, and the advantage of large is that it will not break when hit by large external force, the difference is only that the accuracy is not high, that is to say, aluminum alloy and castings will not be deformed in the process of use, stamping parts will have a certain deformation after the force. But this is much more reliable than breaking under stress. So in the future, in addition to the good car will use aluminum alloy, stamping parts will gradually replace castings in ordinary consumer vehicles.
